Our Mission

Vivaria is a neighborhood where people practice showing up for each other. Not once — as a way of life.

In Vivaria, our neighborhood takes the spiritual body of an ark — an ark built to outlast a flood, spirited through resilience, through diversity.

The Ark grows in three stages. Each builds on the last.

Stage One — We are here
📡 The Gathering
Communication
We're building reliable ways for neighbors to find each other and stay connected. Regular gatherings, consistent communications, and content that reaches new people. By the end of this stage, Vivaria has an active neighborhood that shows up — a real group of people who know each other.
You get → A neighborhood you can count on. People who show up.
Stage Two — Where we're going
🤲 The Stewarding
Care
We organize around core needs: food, housing, transportation, healthcare, and shared knowledge. First we coordinate what's already out there — who has what, who needs what. Then we build toward direct provision. Neighbors who actually help.
You get → Real mutual aid. Your core needs met by your neighbors.
Stage Three — What we're building toward
🌱 The Endurance
Economic
The neighborhood builds its own economy. Cooperative businesses, shared tools, skill exchanges. Your neighbor fixes your car, you teach their kid guitar, someone else grows the food. We stop depending on systems that weren't built for us.
You get → Economic independence. A neighborhood that sustains itself.

The Vision

A neighborhood that doesn't just survive — it thrives. And then it seeds the next one. New neighborhoods. New arks.

From decaying empire to thriving sanctuary. Revival.

Get Involved

The easiest way in is Sanctuary Sunday — a weekly gathering. Ambient music, a short reading, a moment of quiet, and open conversation. No agenda. No performance. Just neighbors making space for each other.

Come as you are. Stay as long as you want.
